ALSO PRESENT ARE MR. MYERS WHO IS REPRESENTATIVE FROM CITY COUNCIL AND THOUGH HE DOES NOT HAVE A VOTE, WE ELCOME DISCUSSION. WE ALSO HAVE TWO INDEPENDENTS WITH US THIS EVENING. I ASK THAT THE AGENDA ITEMS BE EXPLAINED BY CITY STAFF AND THEN ASK TO BE SWORN IN AND PROVIDE OFFICIAL INFORMATION AND NSWER ANY QUESTIONS WE MAY HAVE.

I WILL GIVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO ANYONE THAT WISHES TO ADDRESS SLAP THROUGH YOUR APPLICATION AS WELL.

IT CAME TOWER ATTENTION TODAY THAT THERE IS A SEWER RUNNING BACK THERE. SAME ONE WE ENCOUNTERED SOUTH OF THIS SITE. SO, WE -- WE HAVE OUR -- OUR SERVICE DEPARTMENT VERIFYING THE -- THE LOCATION AND THEY'LL GO OUT NEXT WEEK. SO THIS -- THIS APPROVAL WILL BE CONTINGENT ON IT WORKING OUT AND BEING ENOUGH ROOM WITH THE SANITARY SEWER BACK THERE. ASSUMING IT WORKS OUT, THE OTHER PART OF THIS PROPOSAL IS A PERGOLA FURTHER TO THE WEST.

ALL OF THE MATERIALS INCLUDING THE WINDOWS AND THE LIKE FIXTURES WOULD ALL MATCH THE EXISTING GARAGE.

IT -- IT WILL -- THOUGH, HAVE A SHED STYLE ROOF THAT WILL COME OUT AT A LOW PITCH. AND STANDING METAL IS PROPOSED FOR THAT ROOF STRUCTURE. AT THIS POINT IT SEEMS THAT IF THE EXTRA BAY OF THE GARAGE WILL SIT THERE WITH THE SEWER, THE PERGOLA LIKELY WOULD NOT. WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE FOR NOW. THIS IS THE PROPOSAL, THOUGH, AND IF IT COULD BE CONTINGENT ON IT AND PLACEMENT WORKED OUT WITH THE SANITARY SEWER, THAT WOULD BE GREAT.

IT IS DIFFERENT ROM THE ONE WE SAW EARLIER IN THAT IT IS A LARGER ADDITION, LARGER THAN THE GARAGE IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A SPORTS COURT AREA FOR -- FOR THE HOMEOWNER AND HIS FAMILY. ORIGINALLY PROPOSED WERE THE SLIDING DOORS THAT WERE TO BE THEY -- THEY FOUND OUT THAT THE DOORS WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO OPEN SINCE HE HAS CHILDREN THAT WILL BE USING THIS AREA. HE DIDN'T ANT ANY INJURIES FROM THEM SO, INSTEAD HE WOULD LIKE TO GO A -- A -- A GARAGE OUTDOOR THAT WILL LIFT UP, EXCEPT THAT IT WOULD BE FRAMES AND GLASS THAT WOULD BE TINTED. IT IS SIMILAR TO WHAT YOU SEE HERE. THE FRAMING CAN BE ANY DIFFERENT COLOR. I TALKED TO HIM ABOUT IT BEING BLACK OR WHITE. BLACK WOULD BLEND IN WITH THE GLASS AND ITS TINTING. IT MAY BE LESS OBTRUSIVE.

THERE ARE ONLY TWO FIXTURES ON THE -- ON THE -- ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BUILDING. ONE HERE AND ONE ON THE OTHER SIDE. WE TYPICALLY WOULD NOT WANT THIS TYPE OF FIXTURE BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE THE LIGHT SOURCE.

BUT SIMILAR LIGHT FIXTURES HAVE BEEN HERE FOR MANY YEARS AND NONE OF THE IMMEDIATE NEIGHBORS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT, JUST SOMEONE THAT HAS SEEN IT GOING BY, I BELIEVE HE RECEIVED AN E-MAIL FROM -- FROM -- FROM DR. TAYLOR WHO IS THE ONE THAT BROUGHT IT TO OUR ATTENTION THAT THEY DID NOT GET APPROVAL FOR THE -- FOR THE NEW FIXTURES. SO KNOW THAT WE HAVE ALSO HAD COMMENTS FROM PEOPLE THAT HAVE -- THAT USE THE BUILDING THAT ARE THANKFUL TO HAVE THE ADDITIONAL LIGHT TO -- TO -- TO WALK INTO THE BUILDING WHEN THEY FEEL UCH MORE SECURE.

HOPEFULLY WE WOULD CHANGE A BULB.

IT WAS NOT JUST THE BULB BUT THE FIXTURE ITSELF WAS INOPERABLE AND DEFECTIVE. WE ASKED THE CONTRACTOR TO MATCH THE FIXTURE AND THE LIGHT AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE.

THAT WAS THERE PREVIOUSLY. YOU MENTIONED WE NOT RECEIVED ANY COMPLAINTS FROM ANYONE. IF I MAY JUST ADD, MY UNDERSTANDING S THE -- I GUESS THE ONE COMPLAINT THAT -- THAT HAS BEEN RECEIVED, NOT BY US, BY YOU ALL, BOARD, WITH -- IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN IS NOT A RESIDENT OF WORTHINGTON.
